Both of my teenage kids are having trouble with thier jaws. Anyone know anything I can do to help them? My daughter (15) started with it first and they told us it was due to just getting her braces off and the realignment they had been doing with her jaw and headgear.
They said it would get better in time. It's been about 6 months. Now my son (13) has started complaining of the same thing and he never even had braces.
I'd really like to get to the bottom of this as it makes it difficult for them to do certain things (eating certain foods - and the big thing is that my daughter is having trouble opening her mouth wide enough to sing, which is what she does. ) The doctors don't have any real ideas to help them - they just want us to wait it out. Anyone been through anything like this?

This is based on some rather new research. See if you can find a Chiropractor or massage therapist who has studied under Paul St. John. It is very possible your children have a slight leg length difference.
Only 5mm is enough to cause this type of problem. If either child is using heel lifts, get rid of them and get full length lifts. Heel lifts cause more problems than they fix.To get real results, they need an x-ray taken with the machine focused at the height of the femoral head, while standing erect, bare footed with their feet pointing straight ahead (line from the middle toe to the center of the heel) and both feet under the hip joint (not the outside of the hip).
Then the femoral head heights can be measured accurately. Sources: Training in Posturology..
1 If their jaws are snapping, locking shut or don't open fully, it likely is a Temporal Mandibular Joint problem, and they need to be seen by a dentist who SPECIALIZES in such things. This user has been banned from Askville.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
