This isn't a criminal matter you want them dealing with, aside from your license and the idiocy you pulled to get that suspended. Warrant anyone? Anyway, how you gonna sue him?
If I'm the judge and see title, I'd throw your **** and your case out because I'm going to think you just dragged any schmoe in off the street, because that ain't his name on the title. You have no proof of whom you bought this from...and the lady on the title will obviously say she sold it. As for the words about the cars condition, that's hearsay.
Not admissible as testimony in court. If it ain't on paper, it was never said. So, enjoy your car and adventure in auto repair.
Do keep keep us update in regards to what repairs you end up paying for. Or not. We don't care.
Sorry, all private sales are final. You don't have to sign a contract. You handed over cash and he gave you the keys.
It's called buyer beware and it is the law of the land in used car sales, even at a dealer where the dealer states the car is being sold as is. Just about every how to article on buying a used car says to look over the car carefully, no to take the word of the seller on its condition and to have the car checked out by a mechanic. You did none of these things.
This is because the law says used car sales are as is/where is. The only chance you have is if he didn't have legal authority to sell the car in the first place. I wouldn't have bought the car simply because he didn't have title in hand, but you even ignored that sign.
There are about a million articles on the web telling people not to buy cars that don't have a clear title in hand. Sorry, you ignored all the signs of a bad car and got a bad car. It's yours now.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
