One reason why people tell you to pick what you like is that these are all good areas and the future for all of them looks very good for the future. Security and salary are all pretty equivalent. The other reason for picking what you like is that you will tend to do better in that area.
Everyone wishes that they had a way to predict the future in the job market but all we can do is take an educated guess and that seems to indicate that these will all remain solid looking forward at least 4 years. The general thinking is that you will have 3 careers in your working lifetime of age 25-65. That means about every 12-15 years you will be looking at a new career and reinventing and retraining yourself.
I am on career #3 now and have found this to be true. So the idea is that you are not making decisions today that lock you into a career for a lifetime - only for a few years. Best wishes!
There is very thin differences between all of them. Computer Science & Engineering is core branch and this will prepare you for every platform which is related to computer engineering like Scientists , IT professional , IT security professional etc. Information Technology is related to today's mass jobs in IT sector , it will prepare you for development related jobs like java developer and .net app. Developer etc. It is not science and it will not provide you basics to become a scientist.
Although people can switch to scientists jobs from this option also. Software engineering is branch or a subject in computer science which deals with software development life cycles. It is also a course at some place but as specialization done after graduation from related field.
Computer Science is basically 3 yr course available in universities , it is not at all engineering. It has less value if you have not taken any M. Tech degree.
Finally, Computer Science and Engineering and Information Technology have large scope. Later thr are far more things and specialization available in these career paths. Best of luck!
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
