1 I don't know for sure. I believe they can. BUT, they would have had to share this info with you in a cardholder agreement and provide you with advanced notice.
Have you received any notifications from the credit union on this subject? My guess is you don't remember or you wouldn't be asking this. If you have a copy still of your cardholder agreement, review it carefully; or, go online for an up to date "terms and conditions".
If you don't use this card, maybe you should cancel your account without paying the fee and replace it with a better card product when you need it. Arkansas has low credit card rates, if your credit is good. If you can't readily get credit, then you need to decide if this line of credit is worth paying $50 for.
simmonsfirst.com/ used to offer competitive products. I haven't checked them out in a while.
Well, in there somewhere it pretty much says, We can do what ever the hell we want, when we want too! And by using the card you agreed to it all. They charge a non use fee cause you pay off the debt and don't generate any profit for them, so in essence they are saying, just give us your money, we don't want you as a client anyway, and if you don't like it, go to hell.
Welcome to the new capitalism.
3 Yes, it's legal. Either get rid of the card, making sure that they have removed the fee before closing the account, or use it once a year for something small. This information was in the disclosures that you were given when 1) you applied for the card, or 2) when their requirements changed.
While it may be in 6 point type and ten pages long, it doesn't relieve you of reading it.
4 Just because I sign a wavier, it does not permit a firm to behave recklessly or unlawfully. For a transaction to be legitimate, a good or service (or implied good or service) must be exchanged for a payment or promise to pay. For example, an annual credit card fee is an implied good (you have the right to use the card to access credit when you wish).
In any 'no-usage' scenario, a firm is charging for 'no' good or service, and thus the transaction is not legitimate.
Down WithThe East Indies Company! Do you want to know who is connected to the Macondo oilfield and the Deepwater Horizon well? I'm sorry, I wanted so damn much to believe, have hope and faith America was changing direction.
Heritage Foundation credit card scam--anyone else gotten one of these? Every time Obama opens his mouth BP stock price goes down? Sometimes I rediscover one.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
