I tend to have an old school attitude about crime. If they're found innocent, let them go. If they're found guilty for a minor or moderate crime and have the money to pay restitution to their victims, then give them the opportunity to do so immediately.

If they do not have the money or they refuse to give the money they do have, then put them in a chain gang and let them work off their debt. If they committed a major crime like murder or violent rape, hang them the day they are convicted. No need for prisons and instead of criminals costing the tax payers money in maintenance, they will actually be working and paying back society.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
