Can a coach use Track Club ASB funds to be reimbursed for conference travel expenses?

Questions: We have a track coach that wants to attend a coaching conference. The conference is free, but he would like to use his Track Club ASB funds to be reimbursed for the cost of the hotel, food, and mileage for the conference. Students would not be attending the conference, only the coach.

Can this coach use his Track Club ASB funds to be reimbursed for his expenses? Thank you in advance for your help! Answers: Allowable expenditures from ASB funds need to be directly linked to the students' benefit and also must be outside of what must be and has been provided by the school district's general funding sources in the past.

There is no "list "of what is acceptable or not (and legal or not), so we always suggest that school districts specify in their ASB policy what is considered appropriate. I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
