Can a convicted felon own a firearm for hunting?

No, a felon is not supposed to carry a gun at all But.... After several years many states will allow you to request clemency from the state governor. If your crime was not a violent crime and enough time has passed and you have shown that you are no longer a criminal or getting into trouble you may receive these priveleges back. In Wisconsin there are several clemencies issued per year on an individual basis Actually, it can depend on the State in which you live.In Arizona, a felon who has successfully completed probation or parole can own a firearm as long as the underlying felony did not involve the use or threatened use of a weapon or result in great bodily harm to a victim.

It's the Wild Wild West.

I am currently a 3rd oui convicted felon . You conservative rednecks are all the same. I believe it would be a lot better to have a legal gun than an illegal gun.

I don't think guns can prevent that. I think the police can though. You should get if you want to BUT only for hunting feral animals.

I THINK YOU GUYS R WRONG, HOW IS SOMEONE WITH A GUN A POTENTIAL KILLER...DUMB! I am in the Navy and will be a seal soon.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
