No. Experience as an RN is not sufficient to be licensed as a nurse practitioner (NP) as the scope of practice of an NP is distinctly different from that of an RN. An NP must be a graduate of an educational program for nurse practitioners and licensed by the State of New York in a specialty, in this case pediatrics, or s/he is not practicing lawfully.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
