Can a participant give consent for data archiving when the data contain sensitive information about other individuals?

This is tricky, as a participant may have no appreciation of the Data Protection Act, duty of confidentiality or privacy laws, in other words, what information should and should not be shared. At the same time, a participant giving consent for the data they have provided to be shared is recognised as an intelligent being, able to make his/her own judgement. If, as a researcher, you are uncertain as to whether your data contain any possibly damaging or incriminating information, we would recommend that you remove or alter those sections before data are shared.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
