Yes! The cheetah is the most dog-like of all the cats. The cheetah is sometimes called 'the hunting leopard' because of its' use by man.

Because of their unusual speed and their easy taming due to their playful and affectionate disposition, they have been kept since 3000 BC as valuable hunting companions by the Sumerians, Pharaohs, Abyssinians, Arabs, Kublai Khan, Mongol Emperors and, more recently, by Russian princes, William the Conqueror and other royalty of Europe and India.
