Can an amd athlon 64x2 processor run 64-bit Windows 7?

It is a 64 bit version though if you are not having over 3GB of RAM I don't recommend you to get Windows on 64Bit, if you DO have more than 4GB of ram I sure would advise you to choose the 64 bit version.

It will run both the 32 bit version and 64 bit.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
