Full dose of Tylenol, followed 2 hours later by full dose of Advil, followed 2 hours later by full dose of Tylenol, followed 2 hours later by full dose of Advil, followed 2.... You get the picture. The effectiveness each pain reliever starts to diminish 2 hours after taking it. Following this regimen keeps pain at a more tolerable level.
Your lymph node in not "Infected" it is enlarged and reactive. This means that it has recognized an infection in your body and sent a ton of baby white blood cells to your lymph node in anticipation of needing to fight and clear this up. This is why the soreness as well.
This is a very normal response to the Streptococcal bacterial components. Let your body run it's course and of course get plenty of extra sleep, rest, water, and maybe salt water gargle antibiotics can help in deep seated infections. This should be fully clear in about 6-8 weeks(the swollen lymph node).
I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
