Coffee can also trigger migraines--a whole pot would be much more likely to trigger them.It's likely that the coffee itself isn't directly causing your migraine, but rather, the high dose of caffeine is causing you to become stressed, and then that triggers the migraine.
I would recommend scaling back the coffee. I was born in Michigan and spent 6 years in northern Ohio so I really feel you on the the rough midwestern winter weather...that can get hard. Drinking hot things can really help too.
I would recommend switching to something less caffeinated. This might work better for you when you work at home.
If you want even less caffeine, try switching to hot chocolate or herbal teas. If you don't want the sugar, what you can do is brew up unsweetened hot chocolate. Don't think of it as hot cocoa, think of it as a coffee-like drink, a lot like black coffee.
But it has much less caffeine even than tea. I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
