Can anyone explain to me why 'Ida' the "missing link" fossil discovery is anything more than an extinct species of monkey?

She has characteristics both reminiscent of lemurs and of primates thus the term "link" when scientists describe her. IT is an incredibly well preserved fossil that even included some of her hair, and the contents in her system of her last meal. Yes, she is an "extinct species of monkey".

And other fossils of extinct species have been found. What made scientists so fascinated in this fossil are the characteristics found in this fossil not found in any prior known fossils, filling in a gap in the evolutionary tree.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
