Yes, I believe there is always a good reason for everything that happens. There is always another side of the coin...but you need to look deeper than the surface or you will never see it....i don't mean you pretend like there is no bad news, but you maintain an attitude of positivity even in the midst of adversity. For instance, If one gets an accident and looses one arm, he could feel miserable for the arm he lost or he could thank God for the one remaining...If he looses both, he could feel miserable about it, or he could thank God that even though he lost both arms, he still has his feet.In the words of Scripture "as long as you are still alive, there is hope...
Actually yes, (In the long run). What normally happens is bad news causes us to change courses. In response bad news we usually start thinking or behaving differently. In essence we "learn" something about ourselves as we go through the process of getting over the bad news.
Learning means growing. Personally speaking in my life there have been times when "bad news" led me in another direction which ultimately put me in a happier position in life. One example you often hear about is someone being laid off or fired from a company.
They find a new career or start a business that is much more rewarding then the job they would have never left on their own. Another common example is going through a divorce and later finding a mate who is much more suitable than your ex! In the (long run) most things do happen for the best.
We just have to hold on and weather the storm! When we change our circumstances change.
LOL, OutsideTheLines, it's so funny when I was reading your comment, I actually could hear the tone of your voice in my head, lol, yes it's 4:45 am. I haven't been to sleep, hopefully my answers have been clear and comments on others as well, you have a great day and hopefully we can get back to this subject when we both have had some rest, have a good nite... that's what I like about this site never a dull moment...
I suppose any bad news can be turned into good news if it's written on a cake. Someone should capitalize on the "Your dog died" cake idea. Who knows.
A whole line could come from it. "surprise you're adopted" cakes seem adequate. People during their birthdays and such are already in a good mood.
This way you'd have cake when you need it most. I don't know what I'm talking about...I need to stop answering questions after 3AM...
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
