Yes, they can. Cats are hunter/predators, and are not going to sit and watch food swimming around - they are going to catch and eat it. It's what they do.

But, if you know your cat didn't do it, then just tell the owners how you know, and then it's all good.

We have tried telling them that he didn't do it , but they don't want to hear it. And I've called the vet and they had told that it was highly impossible for a cat to go into the pond and raid it. Cause Max would have been dead by now.

Cause they told me that the frogs are toxic to cats. So I don't know how to get them to pay attetion that he didn't do it. Linmarie 6 months ago .

If so, there is no way one cat could have eaten them all. One or two, maybe, but not all. And not all frogs are toxic.

Your neighbor sounds like a jerk. What does he expect you to do?

She has about 3 or 4 of them missing. Most of them died during the winter, cause the heater broke in the pond. As for the frogs th type that she has is highly toxic to cats.

That's why I don't know the reason she's blaming him. They've had a problem with raccoons and they've been putting poison out for them. And I'm thinkingthe raccoons had something to do with it or even a snake.

Racoons will eat fish and frogs. We have a racoon living the a shed behind where I work, and we found dead half eaten birds out there. Hawks will also swoop down and eat fish.

If she cannot put a protective screen over her pond, then she is going to lose fish. Fact of nature! Oh, and if you need to "fire back" at her, I believe it is illegal to put poison out where someones pet might eat it.

That's what I figured. We have to many domesticated animals running around here. Especially when it comes to the cats.

I feel if you have a problem with raccoons, they should be trapped and moved to another location. Instead of poisoning them. Raccoons are only gooing their instinct.

They can't help it for what they are like. Thanks! Linmarie 6 months ago .

Even though some frogs (not all) will make your cat sick, they will still eat them. My cat loves to eat the straw from my broom and even though he throws up everytime the minute I leave that broom out for just a minute starts chewing on it. Who knows why cats eat things that make them sick?

They do! The only thing you can do is keep your cat indoors. This will keep your neighbor from blaming you and keep your cat safe too.

Frogs are not the only danger out there for cats.

She found nine of them. And two are still missing. They only went to hunt for food.

But she never even apologized to me for blaming him. But now she's blaming him for her fish disappearing. I do bring him in at night and he always in and out during the day.

I can't make him stay in the house if he's used to being outside. The only place that he usually goes is to the woods in the either in the back of the houses or across the street. Thanks!

Yes....but I think they would rather watch them.

The only thing I was told by the vet is that they'll play with them, but they won't eat them. She claiming that he ate them. But if he was playing with them, she would of found bodies laying everywhere.

Cause sometimes cats forget their playing with something that's so fragile. And they make a mistake and kill the frogs. Thanks!

My cats kill, but bring the mouse to me usually...don't always eat it. It can be bigger prey animals also and birds. Best wishes.

Becare your cats don't get the poison she is putting out for racoons. How can she love animals if she is hurting other animals? .

My cat usually kills mice and chipmunks. But he also eats them. Which is disgusting.

Especially when he brings home and eats it. She said she loves animals, but if she loves all animals then why put poison out to kill them. That's not fair.

Those poor animals don't deserve that. Linmarie 6 months ago .

Thats hysterical! You can turn your cat into a house cat, It is so much safer for them and will prolong their life. They adjust well to indoor living, a cat tree and lots of toys helps.

I've rescued 2 feral cats and they both adapted very well to indoor life. If your neighbor is putting poison out for the raccoons thats another reason to keep you can in. And you should check with your local Animal Control about the poisoning, I'm not sure thats even legal, too dangerous for other animals and kids who might come across it.

I,ve thought the same thing. Cause we did have another neighbor that was poisoning the raccoons. Except he was feeding his cat out on the front porch.

And ended up drawing the raccoons to eat the food. So he started mixing the poison in with the cat food. Which it was a complete stupid idea.

He ended up poisoning his own cat. He ended up putting the cat down after that. He should've been charged for doing that.

But they didn't charge him. Thanks! Linmarie 6 months ago .

The onl thing animal control could tell me is that they should be trapping them. And that's what they told me when we had raccoons in our attic. They told me notto poison them.

Cause they could go somewhere and die and we wouldn't even know it. I tried to suggest that to them and they still feel they need to poison them. Thanks!

" "Why do cats eat grass. My cat drools over it!" "what do frogs eat?

Why do cats eat grass. My cat drools over it!

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
