No. When a customer contracts with a company for a service or product, that contract is between those two entities. Employees, therefore, are not responsible for paying the bill.
BUT I'm thinking there is more to your question than you have written. What is behind your question? Is it something you personally sold to the customer?
Was it straight forward? Were there strings attached to the sale? You need to provide more information.
Your question was a little simplistic so my answer was the same .
1 Really need some more info here if you want an answer. However, if you are a server in a restaurant, and are talking about the boss making you pay for a dine and dash customer, in the state of Ohio - the answer is YES - they can make you pay the bill.

Dette replied to post #1: 3 I am talking about a veterinarian that provides emergency services. Clients are expected to pay at time of service; however, somestimes the credit cards are declined...I am talking thousands of dollars in emergency medical care. Old policy stated that we could set up payments agreements, that has been changed. So if an employee discharges a patient owning a balance, new policy states they are responsible for the balance, to be paid immediately.

We do business with a huge emergency vet hospital here, so I know how big the bills can be. I am NOT a lawyer, but my gut says no, they cannot force you to pay the bill. HOWEVER, I really believe you do need legal advice.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
