For larger setups, system administrators would normally put Plone and EP on different machines for performance reasons, but for smaller setups, keeping both EP and Plone on the same machine may be the best solution. Plone and IIS cannot both listen on port 80 at the same time. In fact, IIS will not start. Typically you will want IIS/EP to handle port 80 requests and Plone to talk to it using the management port (normally port 8080).
