Can I buy food for someone who was banned from a store, using their EBT / Food Stamp card? (wait for details)?

(wait for details) Someone I know was banned from a store for life for not paying for an energy drink (says intended to pay for it separate) taken out of the store (Schnucks) when buying groceries. This person was not arrested, but the store took detailed information (photos, SSN, drivers liscense) and has this person banned. The individual agreed to stay out of the store.

Now, if I use this person's EBT card to shop for them, is it likely that the 'system' will 'catch' me when I swipe the card? Technically I do not think I am supposed to use the card since I am not the person. If the "system" catches me as the banned person (can Schnucks or any other Grocery Store security do that, from a card), I can prove I'm NOT the person, true.

But then I'll have to prove I'm not the owner of the card. In which case I am using a card that's not mine to make purchases with, which could be seen as abuse and the person loose their benefits. It is illegal for you use another's ebt card. You will get in trouble, along with the person who was given the card. Of course, you don't want to get yourself or that person in trouble, do you?

There must be another store that person can go to. Please note that if they taken all that info from that person, they will find out. Maybe, it is in their computers.

Who knows. Maybe they will reconize that person and the info they took. If you are caught, that store might decide to press charges on you and that person, not to mention, the govt.

Don't do it. You know the old corny saying, "honesty is the best policy. " .

You may buy the person whatever you want to afford, But you may not use the person's EBT card at all. That is theirs only, and for you to make any purchase on it would constitute "fraudulent use" and enable yourself to be jailed, however nice you were being.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
