Can I coin the phrase "point whores" for those who ask meaningless questions to drive their points up?

If people try to game the system like this they may race themselves up to Purple belt, but they will stop there. To make it to Brown Belt you need to have the required points AND you need to have your account reviewed by five of Mahalo's Guides. The Guides will look for gaming and if you are gaming the system you will NOT get your brown belt. So, consider this fair warning: don't put up inane questions or answers or you're going to limit your advancement in the organization.

:-) Frankly, I don't think this is a common behavior. Most folks are asking solid questions, and we're deleting questions and answers that are inane, obnoxious, etc.The point of Mahalo Answer is "To help people find information and answers they can trust. " Putting in noise doesn't not help that mission.

There is no rush to "level up." Everyone should focus on quality above all else. Really research your answers, give great citations and be kind to the newbies.

If you do that you'll not only race up in points, you'll also make some money and get to the upper belt levels (brown, black, etc).

Since the points have no monetary value, and all these belt systems doesn't offer any real benefits. It's kind of pointless to ask questions just for points:).

Yes. Can I coin "answer whores"? For people who write useless answers to drive their points up...

I think you should because, well, I am guilty of it.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
