Can I file and receive the child credit while having no earned income for the year?

It is my understanding that in order to receive the earned income tax credit for a child or children that one must have earned income.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
