While anyone who earns the doctoral degree can be called "doctor"many do not chose to do that outside of their profession because it can be viewed as pretentious and is confused with the medical doctor. How the DNP will salt out, is still in flux as there are not many of them yet, but I suspect that most advanced practice nurses will introduce themselves as "Nurse Practitioner Nancy" and not "doctor nancy" as that will imply to the patient your are the MD and there are problems with patients assuming you are the MD, when you are not. The vast majority of mid levels that I know, realize that they do have limitations and respect the fact that the MD did spend the greatest amount of time in school & does have the right to that title, regardless of whether they have the DNP or a PhD or whatever, they are not competing.
Anyone with a PhD is addressed by the title "Doctor". You can use that courtesy title or not as you prefer.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
