Can I get rid of golden tones in my blonde hair? I want to be a really light pale blonde with no orange/golden tones?

I want to be a really light pale blonde with no orange/golden tones. I have been to numerous different hairdressers lately, after sadley the lady I had been going to for years got sick and her salon closed! - she had been doing my hair the way I liked but no one else can seem to match the color she got, which was like 613 really light pale blonde with platinum in places, (she only used 1 colour) at the moment mine is more golden with platinum, which although is quite light it's not what I want.

I've been to 4 different salons now (who use 2 colors a light and dark blonde as they say this is the only way to get lighter? ) but to be honest i'm never happy with the end result, and am starting to wonder if the color I once had was bad for my hair, why can't other salons acheive this color? I thought all bleach was the same?

Please help me as i'm confused! Thank you :) Asked by Barbie_doll 21 months ago Similar questions: rid golden tones blonde hair light pale orange Lifestyle > Beauty.

* by JUSTNORMAL on November 5th, 2006 JUSTNORMAL I would use a toner, that is sort of ashy blonde to take away the brassy color.. If hair is in good condition for coloring- use Clairol Brass Busters (a shade OR two lighter than what you are trying to acheive) w/ a 10 volume developer.

Make sure the color you pick is blue/violet/green based (says on the bottle). Good luck! Comments Add a comment... o Like o Report No comments.

I haven't tried it, but she claimed it worked like magic.? Comments o GRAPE JUICE WORKS! I DID IT TWICE AT 20 MINUTES EACH AND IT WORKS!

I had brassy orange roots and yellow stripes so I washed it with color safe shampoo, next I used VO5 oil for 1 minute. Used the 1 part grape juice and 2 parts conditioner and let it sit for 20 minutes. I then used VO5 Conditioner treatment and immediately washed it out and used more shampoo and conditioner.

I then used the grape juice and and conditioner for another 20 minutes and now I look blond not yellow and the brassy color is all but gone. Even the third hairstylist I went too didn't help. Try it it works!

I didn;t get my hair to the pale yellow stage - I always rinse the bleach out too soon because I'm paranoid about damage. I'd rather wait a week or so and bleach again than lose all my hair.

Anyway, in the meantime, I have a mix of yellow/gold/orange-ey hair. The clairol creme toner I used (302 - I think) didn't really cut down much of the brassiness. Also, the purple shampoos and conditioners helped only a little.

I followed the directions on the toner and applied to damp hair - might try directly to dry hair next time. Also, I went for a toner that was violet - think I need blue/violet instead so will go back to Sally's tomorrow. Over all I'm pleased because I know if I'm patient I will achieve a nice blonde.

I'll be happy if I can eventually eliminate the brass. The hard part is getting it light enough without accidentally going past the pale yellow stage. My hair is soooo fragile. Fine/porous but reasonable thick.

Originally dark brown but some grey now (one good thing is with enough grey - I don't have to do highlights to get color variation). Wish me luck. Comments Add a comment... o Like o Report No comments.

Get rid of golden tones in my blonde hair... The green hair that develops from exposure to chlorine is related to the hard metals found in the water. It's not really the chlorine that changes the color of your hair, but the metals that are present in the pool. Unless you're fond of your new hair color you can follow these steps to get rid of the chlorine-green hair.

InstructionsThings You'll Need: * Anti-chlorine Conditioners * Lemon Juices * Vinegar * Vinegar * Anti-chlorine Shampoos * Deep Conditioner * Moisturizing Shampoos * Deep Conditioner 1. Step 1 Purchase a shampoo and/or conditioner specially formulated to remedy "green hair" or "swimmer's hair. " 2.

Step 2 Try using lemon juice or vinegar to rinse the hair after swimming, if you cannot find a commercial product. 3. Step 3 To prevent green hair from ever becoming a problem you have to deal with, wet your hair before going into a pool and put a conditioner in it and leave it like that.It will shield your hair from the metals in the water.

Also put on a snug swimmers cap to keep the hair from getting wet. Sources: http://www.ehow.com/how_2348_rid-chlorine-green.html .

2 Well, that's why beauty salons are in business. They will actually mix colors by hand to achieve the color you want. And then they will put the highlights in and so forth.Do-it-at home hair color tend to make all your hair the same color and the kits with highlights can get complicated.

So a salon might be best.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
