Can I get unemployment if I was fired for being absent to attend a funeral?

As far as I know, I don't think you can get fired for refusing to cover shift. But then again I can't say it for every bosses and companies. At my store, we can't hold it against anyone who refused to come in because we are short on help.

People do have plans or want their days off, and sometime we just simply busy. They can hold it against anyone.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
