Yes, you are wrong. His body is his choice to wear or not wear what he wants. If he's not someone who wears jewelry currently then it's unlikely getting married would change that.

He works in a profession where a ring can easily get caught on to something and cut off his finger. He also works in a profession where if he hurt his hand they may have to cut off the ring. Wearing a ring doesn't make you more married and not wearing one doesn't make you less married.

My dad lost his ring about 3 months into my parents' marriage, they were married for 40 years when he died. My husband and I neither of us wear our wedding rings at work. He is a surgeon so he doesn't wear it for sanitation reason and well parts of it could come loose and end up in his patient, he also doesn't allow his OR staff to wear them (or other jewelry) either.

He wears it on days when he doesn't expect to do surgeries but he also does procedures in his office so he takes it off for those. I work in Information Technology where I add and remove equipment a lot, so it gets in the way. We both wear them in social settings.

Side note - my husband is a plastic surgeon but most plastic surgeons also do hand surgeries and he's had many patients who thought the ring getting caught was a myth or happened to other people then they find their self in an emergency surgery where he's trying to reconstruct their hand and/or sew fingers back on. I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
