Can I give my 4 yr old child both benadryl (for rash) and zyrtec (for allergies) at the same time?

I'd definitely consult the pediatrician on that one. Just call the office and ask to talk to the nurse. I know I have been instructed to combine them before (due to a severe reaction to perfume from a business meeting), but I'm also an adult.

Have you actually had your 4 year old tested for allergies? Can anything be done to help him (or her) avoid whatever he's allergic to? I recently found out that I'm not "allergic" to anything and stopped taking the Zyrtec I was taking.

I'm "sensitive" to things. I have found it more effective to avoid chemicals - including commercial cleaning products, standard laundry and dish detergents, "body washes" or anything that contains a fragrance and to stick with Eco-friendly cleaning products / vinegar & baking soda, castille soap, Hugo Naturals unscented hand soap and lotion, Hugo Naturals shampoo and conditioner, and a number of homeade skin care products. Since I made those changes, I haven't gotten a new rash or eczema (which used to affect me significantly).

It seems like most of my rashes, eczema and allergy-like symptoms were caused by the products I eliminated - the chemical smells, the skin reactions, etc... If this might be true for your child, for Laundry detergent, I like Restore brand. I also use that for dish soap and bathroom cleaner. It's nearly as effective as Tide, but less expensive.

Restore products are all unscented. For carpet cleaning and dishwasher detergent, I use Bio-Kleen. The Bio-Kleen uses citrus extracts as cleaners and the products are usually mildly citrusy scented.

Most of the standard body care and home care products are poisonous. Some of us (more children than adults) just have bodies who wave that around like a red flag and others don't.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
