Homemade Italian Salad Dressing August 26th, 2007 1 tablespoon garlic powder 1 tablespoon onion powder 1 tablespoon white sugar 2 tablespoons dried oregano 1 teaspoon ground black pepper 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme 1 teaspoon dried basil 1 tablespoon dried parsley 1 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes 1/4 cup preferred vinegar 2/3 cup olive oil Mix dry ingredients in a small, resealable container. Combine vinegar, oil and 2 tablespoons of the mix when you want to make the dressing. Editor’s Note: Playing with the vinegar can be fun.
White vinegar, red wine vinegar, balsamic vinegar all work well. The dry mix can also make a good rub for chicken. Sources: http://www.
