This may even be listed on Amazon. Com,but I didn't see it. I'd like to buy something from Amazon with a credit card, but have it delivered to a residential address other than my billing address.

As a matter of fact You sure can. I do it all the time for gifts or if I’m visiting my parents and want something delivered to me there. When you go through the order process there are two separate fields.
One is for Billing Address and one is for Shipping address. Above the shipping Address field is a little box to check that says something like Shipping Address is the Same as the Billing Address. Uncheck this little box and fill in the appropriate sections of the Shipping address field.Voila.
Assuming you are signed in to your account, you will have the option to save this address in your shipping address book for future orders. Now, a little extra. Say you are signed in and using 1 click.
Beneath the one click box is a little arrow down field with ’Ship to’ as its label. By default, it probably lists your name. If you have other names/addresses in your address book under your account, you can just arrow down and select which destination you would like your Amazon to deliver you 1 click purchase.
How do you get more Names/Addresses in your address book if you aren’t placing an order? Well, I’m glad you asked. Just log in to your account and select edit your account.
You can pull up your shipping addresses and add or modify however much you want. All of these features can be used with a credit card. Happy Shopping By the way, it's a gift for me, isn't it?
You shouldn't have.
Sure you can I do this all the time to send gifts. It's really handy> You get the option when you are checking out.
Yes, I've done the very same thing. In the past when I lived in an apartment it was difficult to get UPS deliveries. If UPS decided to leave the package at your door, you ran the risk of someone potentially walking off with the package.
Most times they just left a slip of paper on your door and then I would have to go down to the UPS facility and pick-up my package. So, what I started doing was shipping the packages to my Mom's house. My billing address was for my apartment.
I never had any problems. Hope this helps. Sources: My Experience .
Yes Yes, you can. I order my daughters college text books from Amazon and have them sent to her at school all the time, paying by credit card. There is a box to enter the shipping address in when you make the purchase..
When you are checking out you'll hit a screen that says 'ship to'. Under that is the option to change the address.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
