You could add target="_blank" to the form containing the button. The form will post all the necessary data to the controller action and render the results in a new tab.

You can't force the browser to open a new tab through code. The best you can do is open a new window with javascript.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
