I sometimes use a regular dye on my roots so I am not bleaching too much. I try to get another blonde in the box dye. It is not going to be as light as the rest of your hair, but if you want a quick touch up it will be lighter than your natural hair color, it blends ok I guess but the next time you foil your hair you may notice bands of color from where you did your root touch up.

Like I said when I did the touch up with the box it looked a lot better than just leaving dark roots and people don;t really notice.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
