Can I put an AM2 socket CPU into a motherboard that is socket 754 compatible?

In most cases, yes. However, if changing the CPU a lot, going from one extreme to another, the BIOS may not recognize the new CPU. In those cases, there may be a BIOS update.

In other cases, no way it will work. The other issue is total heat dissipation (TDP) of the CPU and the cooling system (heatsink/fan). Those are all sized for a specific heat from the CPU, and using a CPU that generates a lot more heat may require a better heatsink and fan.

You have to review what you have now, what the power consumption is, what the BIOS supports, and only then check the newer CPU to see if things match.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
