Can I recover a microsoft office word document that was saved after the trial expiration?

Microsoft did not change formats when MS office 2010 came out. Unlike the upgrade from 2003 to 2007 which still haunts some of us because of the change in format from . Doc to .

MS office 2010 retains the exact same format as the MS office 2007, so there should be no compatibility issue. However there are some issues do to the lack of some graphical features in 2007, but in general that is not an issue. Despite 2007 lacking some features the contents can be viewed with no issues whatsoever.

The main changes microsoft made to 2010 was the user interface, templates, fonts these are superficial features. As long as the format is the same, you can definitely work with both version at hand. You should not be facing any problems with compatibility of MS office 2007 to MS office 2010.
