Can I use grout instead of linseed putty for wooden window frames?

Try using chauling . Buy a chaulking gun and a tube of chaulking and apply it. It's easier, cheap and will last for years.

You can also paint over it.

Dap makes a good window glaze in a caulking tube. I prefer the look of putty when glazing windows but the caulking takes a lot less time and dries faster. You will also need to pick up a caulking gun.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
