Can rechargeable Nickel Metal Hydride batteries or Nickel Cadmium batteries be used on my IC recorder?

With this IC Recorder, Sony Alkaline batteries LR03 (SG) are recommended although AAA sized rechargeable Nickel Metal Hydride batteries or Nickel Cadmium batteries can also be used. Compared to Alkaline batteries, the duration time of these batteries is shorter. (The voltage of rechargeable Nickel Metal Hydride batteries or Nickel Cadmium batteries is 1.2 V, and the battery indicator may not reach the full mark.
