The Parliamentarian Cavalry were known as the Iron sides due to the armour they wore on their chests, sides and back. This was usually worn over a red tunic, they wore dark breaches (trousers) and long black leather boots, a helmet with a piece of metal coming down from the front to protect the nose and something I am not sure if it was leather or metal to protect the back of the neck. I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
