Can someone explain the republican mindset to me?

Hmmm, Well I was thinking to dismiss your question then I looked up the demographics on the TEA party for age... Not sure about Republicans, but the number of young TEA partiers is very very small. I do have video of a Young Americans for Freedom convention back in the early 70s. The Young Republicans and the Libertarians (styling themselves as anarcho-capitalists those days) were fighting with bombast and posters, one group accusing the other of anarchy the other with signs that said "F___ the State" But no one was stepping on anyone else's head.

Well, Republican or democrat one should be glad that the merchants of hate, fear and violence are on theri way out, if they truly are. I am hoping your message is correct. The issue of whose economic model works can be settled another day, but I would be grateful for an end to credibility for charlatans and mountebanks.

Let me remind liberals of Nov. 2010. The biggest power swing in American history. I don't see the GOP going away.

On the contrary. I see the GOP and Tea Party becoming the dominant political parties after the 2012 election.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
