Can someone explain why or what causes constant misfortune in one's life?

Maybe that he has issues from child hood that he needs to face. We usually create the situations we are in, and if we are not facing our emotional issues, getting rid of the garbage, and might help him to look back at all the negative comments he tells himself that others programmed in his mind about himself. We usually beat ourselves up with things.

I doubt that he is cursed or its a demon. Usually it is getting passed the fears of what is really bothering us. The pain inside is strong, and maybe he doesn't focus on positive things.

We draw negative towards us if we are focused on the negative. If we fill our minds with positive quotes, affirmation, learn ways to create, relate, and function, and get rid of the old belief system our lives can turn right around. It's not easy, and I'm not going to sugar coat it, but if he really wants to be happy and succeed he will have to dig down deep to find the answers. No one can do this for him.

The answer to your question was in your story about your friend, he says it's been happening to him since he was a little kid. He seems to be attracting the bad luck to himself because he is expecting it to happen and he focuses on it. When you focus on something you send a message to the universal mind and it give you what you are focusing on.

I was heading out on vacation and we were at the airport, my wife saw a person there that she didn't want to sit next to on the plain, she kept tell me " I don't want to sit next to her, I don't want to sit next to her " the woman ended up sitting in the seat right next to my wife. I smiled at my wife and said " you attracted it to yourself, lol.

There is a lesson to learn from everything that happens to us, good or bad so I would suggest figuring out what the lesson is each time the bad luck shows up at his doorstep. Napoleon " every adversity has within it a seed of equal or greater benefit " in other words when life hands you lemons, make lemon aid.

Your "circle" ie: friends, family members, environment etc can bring misfortune. Who you entertain and allow in your space can bring misfortune. Knowing and engaging someone who wants to do you harm can bring misfortune.

Entertaining energy that does not have your best interest at heart can bring you misfortune. People engage relationships, jobs, enviroment, family members, friends and acquaintances who do not have their best interest at heart. They continuously do so because they're listening to what they say, rather than pay attention to their actions.

Where there is no balance there is no fortune.

I believe in karma and reincarnation so I think the past karmas are the cause because you reap in one life and get in the next. Its as simple as that.

Good question! I'll try to make my answer pretty general because I don't know your friend and his circumstances may be a little different.

I think a lot of people feel as if they are going through constant misfortune because we tend to put more focus on the bad things that happen in our lives. Good things happen almost every day to varying degrees, but in comparison to bad events they always seem minor.

Another reason that some people seem to constantly struggle is that after a few bad things happen right after each other, people tend to start looking for something else bad to happen. I think they might subconsciously start to expect bad things out of life and end up getting them in return.

Sometimes we often wonder how we get to such a turbulent point, Believe me; their is a reliable explanation for feelings of distress. It is truly the wicked systen for which we live, now think about this; over 800 million people remain in deep poverty, perhaps very good people who are unable to purchase enough of the abundance to lift out of chronic malnutrition, does that fit him? No I don't think so.

Materialism is a driving force in American society. Affection is often missing in the very enviornment in which it should flourish.

Do not feel bloodguilty over your past, communicate with God, that is something we never want to hear and never have interest in, but the truth is, you nor anyone has a perfect lot in life. Please! He must not allow himself to sink into a bottomless pit, encourage him to make supplications and escape all the negative things that brings him sadness.

Living a Godly life style brings happiness, some may object, but genuine happiness is not dependent on external things; rather it comes from a conviction that we are doing what is right and therefore have God's smile and approval. Remember God is able to strengthen us to fulfill our desires. I only ask that he consider the true principles and have faith.

Black magic or witchcraft could be possible which involves demon's and curses... I have seen many people with these kind of issues and i've been told on several occasions that i'm a victim too.

Best to get him spiritually checked out. But if the person asks for a lot of money don't pay coz there are a lot of scammers out there.

Yes, you are right. There are myriads of such cases in all over the globe. Why this happens is a vital question. In there is a great epic named "Mahabarath".

It is the story of a great King and his dynasty. The throne belonged to two brothers. The elder one was blind named "Dritharashtra".

S younger brother was "Pandu", the white complexioned. The preceptors asked the younger brother to ascend the throne since a blind one can not lead a kingdom. There the seeds of hatred was planted between the 100 sons of elder brother and five sons of younger one.

The sons of elder one were cruel and hence they inflicted misery after misery on the sons of Pandu. The five sons of Pandu were virtuous and morally strong. But they suffered a lot at the hands of cruel sons of elder one.

Throughout their life, they had no peace or a place to lay their head. Their properties were usurped by the elders sons. Nothing was left on their person except few white cloths.

They were driven to the jungle and they were never allowed to enter into the kingdom of 13 years.

The logical question is that those who perpetrated hatred were enjoying the kingdom and lived a luxury life. Those who left their kingdom by force were allowed to suffer continuously. The answer to this anomaly was given once by Saibaba.

He said, though the younger brother's sons lead a virtuous life, they suffered due to the actions of their past lives. The sons of elder one, though they were cruel and immoral enjoyed the kingdom and a luxurious life due to the merits they have done in their previous births. Hence it is implied that whatever we do will recoil upon us if not today, but on a later day or later birth also.

Negative attitude. I read in a article that it is our attitude that decides our fortune. In fact, this attitude can convert a failure into success.

I know of a person right now who experiences constantly misfortune. The person I know also happens 2 have a constantly bed attitudes toward others, & even hates his own country. He wants 2 do things, but I know he won't get far in life w/ that bad attitude.

Bad attitudes actually scare others away.
