Yes he very much does. He also knows that the larger number come from our southern border and that many who come through the southern border are actually from south and central American (not Mexico). Mexico will not allow those foreign folks to stay in their country, but they DO give them 3 day passes to transverse Mexico to get to our border (that was what all those children, teens and adults were doing on top of the trains last year).

Mexico gives them the pass with the intent of harming the US with even more illegals. He is also aware that potential middle eastern terrorists and others from Africa and Asia use that route. Canada has stricter laws on immigration than Mexico and so it is harder for illegals to go to Canada and then onto the US...plus Canada (being a llawful and repectful coutry, does not grant 3 day passes to illegals to crash our country.

Also Canadians themselves, being lawful, much like most Americans, tend to obey the law. I dor example would never in a thousend years think of going into Mexico or Canda illegally , nor would I oversaty as a vacationoer. I have self resepct aznd would not want to be arrested (never have been in my life).

So just like me, the Canadians just would not do it. They have an almost 100% literacy rate and Western vlaues. They are a skilled population and have an excellent government.
