I can help you resolve this dispute Ted because I can tell you the exact reason why the 'male' partner wears Wrangler jeans. There is a bit of history with this so bear with me. Many years ago, when lesbianism first became publicly acceptable, it was quite normal for a friend of the ''female' partner to ask questions of the relationship with her 'male' partner and one of the most frequent question asked by a friend would be "have you rang her today" - meaning of course "have you telephoned her" but with the emphasis on the word "her" indicating that "her" was the male partner.
Now this expression stayed in place for many years and over the years "have you rang her today" got shortened to just "rang her today?" meaning have you spoken to your 'male' partner today. All was well and again as time passed it got shortened again to just "rang her?" Now, because the friends of the 'female' partner seldom knew the name of the male partner, it became common place to ask "How's your 'rang her' today?" and so the 'male' partner was colloquially know as the "rang her".
This expression stayed in force until 1987 when mobile phones (cell phones to you) first became popular and texting took over from the spoken word. As the letter "h" and the letter "l" both require 3 hits on the cell phone keypad and the letter "l" is the next key to the letter "h" it wasn't long before "rang her" became "rang ler" and subsequently the space was omitted forming the word "rangler" and so the 'male' partner of a relationship soon became known as the "rangler" Obviously, Wrangler jeans then became popular as the name identically matched "rangler" in verbal communication and they soon became popular with the 'male' partner as the normal garment to wear. I do hope this knowledgeable explanation helps settle any arguments between you and your lady wife.
Regards Scoundy.
I used to dress the part of a cow girl, because I looked HAWT in wranglers, and had that whole cowboy hat big buckle want to ride you in the rodeo fantasy look going on.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
