Technically his condition is the result of a genetic mutation, but marvel does not group him in the same category as the xmen and the like, because he was not born with his mutation. It highlights a problem I have with the marvel universe in general though, which is that the xmen don't really fit with the rest of the world very well. Their whole schtick is that people are prejudiced against them and try to oppress them.
But in a world where people accept teenage boys swinging around new york with spider powers, a celebrity team of superheroes who were mutated in space, and the government sanctioning a large difficult to control minster who has a history of violence be their guardian, it's a bit inconsistent.
I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
