Allergies can be mistaken for colds. I don't think allergies cause fevers, but what happens is the allergies can close the passages in your ears, for example, and you'll get ear infections which can cause you to have a fever and have to be treated with antibiotics. If you want to do an experiment, buy some Zyrtec and take it.
If your symptoms start to go away in an hour, it's allergies. Give it a few days, and if your symptoms fade, it may have been allergies.
Oooo yeah I have ear issues too! Sometimes they seem clogged, as if I need to pop them. Has gotten so bad that I even begin to get dizzy.
Funny you bring up zyrtec....i started taking it a week ago. The first time I took it within an hour I felt like a million bucks (ok maybe not a million but a good 500 grand). I'll schedule an allergy doc appt tomorrow.
Ahhhhhh thanks dan you've given me a ray of hope that it's an easily fixable problem and i'll get back to feeling like myself again! Melissa220 13 months ago .
Well, you can probably skip the allergy doctor. He/She will tell you the same thing, you have allergies, take Zyrtec. Don't let them talk you into Clarinext or Clariton.
I find it doesn't work.
By the way, since I started taking Zyrtec, I haven't had a "cold" in 7 years. I use to have 3-5 "colds" a year. Now I realize they were all allergies.
Also, if you're having a really bad day, you can take 2 pills. I sometimes take then 12 hours apart on bad days like the last couple of weeks. And I had the popping ears, and the ear aches, and the infections, and the ringing in the ears, and I just felt draggy and miserable. It's almost all gone (I still have the ringing in the ears, but none of the popping, etc. )Good luck!
.
Allergies can certainly be mistaken for colds, and you certainly don't have to have eye symptoms. I don't know about fevers. See if an antihistamine or a medication like Singulair helps.
Thanks.... been having problems with these symptoms for quite some time now. My doctor keeps testing me for everything under the sun except allergies (which is what I think it is). But I always held back from mentioning it because I didn't have the itchy eyes.... silly I know....but i've never known anyone with allergies that didn't have they eyes melissa220 13 months ago .
Not all people who have asthma have these symptoms. Having these symptoms doesn't always mean that you have asthma. Your doctor will diagnose asthma based on lung function tests, your medical history and a physical exam.
You may also have allergy tests. When your asthma symptoms become worse than usual, it's called an asthma attack. Severe asthma attacks may require emergency care, and they can be fatal.
Asthma is treated with two kinds of medicines: quick-relief medicines to stop asthma symptoms and long-term control medicines to prevent symptoms.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
