Can Thread.Sleep(Timespan.Zero) be used sensibly in this scenario?

If you were using . NET 4, I'd personally use Thread. Yield to make it clearer what you're trying to achieve... but other than that, your sleep looks like it should be okay to me... (modulo the choice of 0 or 1, as noted elsewhere) but are you sure it's actually necessary?

Have you performed any profiling to check whether it really helps? What's the downside of letting this thread finish its timeslice?

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
