Yes, but...you have to declare the income to unemployment Yes, you can continue the claim, but you have to report the income on the weekly or bi-weekly form that the State sends you to claim your UI. It might help delay you reaching your maximum benefit amount, but unless your benefits are exhausted, there is no clear incentive for you to report that income . Read the form carefully, and answer all the questions correctly.
Call your local benefits office if you aren't sure of how to answer the question, or your tax people. I'm about two years since my last unemployment claim, and I made some income during that time, and I'm don't remember if I reported it on the biweekly form or not. I am certain, though, that it wouldn't have affected the total amount that I received, as I was 'underemployed' or unemployed for long enough to have received the maximum benefit even counting my other work.

1 I do. I am an independent contractor. My job is to fill temp jobs.
I can't seem to find something permanent and long term because it is so difficult in CAlifornia. I do it all the time when I am not on assignment and I do have to report my earnings.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
