Can't remember novel title or author, remember some details?

Can't remember novel title or author, remember some details It was darker fiction. The bits that I remember are very striking, but very sparse. There was a small ferry with a skeleton chained to the bottom of the boat.

The main character was very tall/large, and somewhat misunderstood. If I recall correctly he accidentally murders some people, his family members...I think the trade paperbook I had featured some gears and a grainy b/w photo of a large house on a small island but that could be wrong...not a lot to go on, I know, but thanks in advance! I wasn't sure where to start: why '"my"' is in quotes, the absurdly parenthetical sentence, or how your reply was more hurtful than helpful. I decided instead that it would be more prudent to say that while I wish to respectfully apologize for intruding in your world and performing one of your pet peeves, I wish to underwrite that apology with a message of sincere hope. I sincerely hope you find an appropriate outlet for your aggression and refrain from "lol'ing" (notice the correct usage not only of quotation marks but parenthesis as well) at someone who was merely providing every scrap of information that he has.

Please also notice that the physical description of the book is perhaps a quarter of my post, whereas there is significantly more information on what little I can recall of the plot. Thank you for your time.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
