Christians do you think it's a sin to celebrate Christmas (Jesus Birthday)?

As a Christian who does celebrate Christmas I see nothing wrong with that. For to me it is a day to celebrate. My parents celebrated my birthday and I celebrate the birthdays of my spouses and children.

We even celebrate Charles Darwin's birthday. Of all the birthday's we should celebrate the most it should be Jesus Christ. There was a reason why the apostles had to keep quiet because of the manner in which Jesus Christ was conceived.

It was not a normal birth but an act of holy creation inside the womb of Mary prior to her having any sexual contact with Joseph in marriage. The Bible prophecies pointed to that sacred event. And on the night when Jesus Christ was born did not God send an heavenly chorus to announce this event to shepherds abiding in the field by night?

Charlie Brown has it right why we celebrate Christmas. It has nothing to do with a tree that we buy for a few weeks and throw away without a thought. Because the tree is not the focus of our worship but Jesus Christ.

I see nothing wrong with celebrating the birthday of Jesus Christ. I look at the divide when Christianity started and how the Jewish people became divided when Gentiles came into the fold. And they debated should gentiles follow the same laws of Moses or follow a new gospel presented through Jesus Christ.

And the apostles themselves led of God said no. The gentiles were not part of their ethnic root. That they were indeed a new seperated class of people who were grafted into the faith through Jesus Christ as Paul pointed outs in Romans 11.

But the Jews themselves have a celebration called Hanuka at this time of year. Some point out that Christmas is a pagan origin. But the fact is that there will come a day of reckoning where the true meaning of Christmas has been told to them.

And the unbelieving world did not see it. God is the one who makes old sinful man new again. God can make a pagan day what it is meant to be and it's true meaning.

So that the whole earth can celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. This is why I celebrate it. The Bible speaks of Christians honoring one day above another while others do not.

Yet we are still believers. There will be a divide. But that division will not separate true believers at all.

It will unite them. For the common enemy is the devil and all his works of darkness. We celebrate the birth of the one who alone who can defeat the works of the enemy and who gives us power daily to overcome the works of the enemy.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
