Bare handed. I carry my firearm on and off duty. Bad guys generally aren't courteous enough to allow me to put on gloves before forcing me to defend myself.
I train as I fight.
The easy answer would be "Shoot with whatever you will be operating/hunting with in most situations." For instance, if you are going to be doing some summer hunts in dry, HOT conditions, you will likely be best served by practicing with bare hands. Whereas if you are going to be pulling the trigger with medium-thickness or even fingerless gloves because you will be sitting in a stand in cold weather, or you are operating a firearm with sharp edges and requiring muscle-power to work certain functions (ie: an AKM or an AR with many accessories) then practice with whatever gloves you feel you will be operating with.
Gloves don't always have to be worn for warmth either. A good set of Mechanix gloves will serve you well when commencing with fast-paced multi-step drills on one or multiple platforms. Just try doing them without gloves and those little bloody dings and gashes that you get, along with the heaps of shaved-off flesh from your knuckles will teach you to cope with a good set of Mechanix or Oakley handwear...
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
