Computer won't recognize DVD drive keeps saying to put a disc in how do you fix it dell computer?

Go to the control panel and un-install the drive unit, then shut the computer down totally. Let it re-boot and see if it then locates the drive. If it re-installs it with no problem then try a DVD in it.

If it still does not, you probably need to update your drivers.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
