Computers: How do I print out a pdf file? No matter what I do it just won't print?

No matter what I do it just won't print. I received a home inspection report in pdf and have Adobe 9, but I can't figure out how to get it to print. Any suggestions?

Gonna need a better error description than "just won't print". What happens when you click the print button? Are there any pop ups at all?

Any error messages? Is the printer on and connected to the computer? Are you able to print from other programs?

Yup, printer works fine on everything except pdf files. I hit 'print' and msg. Box come up "This document cannot be printed".

Should be an option under File > Print. Or just press CTRL + P on your keyboard if you have Windows or Command + P on a Mac.

It may be restricted so that you can't print it. That's an option in PDF files for some reason, to be able to make it so people can't print the file. Are you able to print other PDFs from other sources?

Ya, Derek, I'm wondering if there's a security block on the file so it can't be edited. Although I did try to print a 'family research' pdf file and it didn't work either. Right now I'm upgrading Adobe Acrobat AIR to see if that helps.

Adobe AIR is not a PDF reader, it is simply a way for Flash to be run as a stand-alone application on the computer.

The phrase for adobe,'document will not print. ' is common. Looks like many reasons, including a corrupted pdf file.

OK do you have ms office or open office , open the attachment then copy and paste it in MS OFFICE OR OPEN OFFICE word processing software, save the file after you paste it -at the top of the page there should be a function called export as PDF, you can save it to your documents, name it home inspection report, it will be in your documents with PDF icon , just open it , and it will be in the adobe window, then go ahead and print it, there may a more expedited way to do it but , have you save the attachment from your email your documents , did it have the PDF icon , if it did you should just be able to print it, if nothing works update your adobe reader, the update will overwrite the old program and it should work .

Perhaps you can copy paste and email it to friend as a regular file ,have them format it as a pdf send it back to you and then try to print it .

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
