I have a concrete drive that has some small cracks and some areas at the end look like they are eroding (you can see the rock, not the smooth concrete). Is this something I can repair myself or should I call a professional ($$$)? It's not stamped concrete (I wish!
) just plain jane sidewalk type concrete. And what is "sealing" of a concrete drive? Thanks. Asked by CornflakeGirl 55 months ago Similar questions: Concrete driveway how repair seal Home > Home Improvement.

It's not that tough to patch it, but I'd still hire someone to do it I do have a stamped driveway, but I've had plain-jane concrete in the past. And they always develop cracks and problems eventually. Calling in a pro will probably give you better results and it usually isn't that expensive (a couple of hundred bucks at most) so that's what I'd recommend you do.
I, however, would probably try to fix it myself. I've seen it done before (though I haven't done it myself), and it's really just a matter of filling in the crack with some patching concrete and letting it set. You can always see the patch, so painting it over is pretty typical.
There's a pretty good "how to" guide here:paint-and-supplies.hardwarestore.com/lea...As" rel="nofollow">paint-and-supplies.hardwarestore.com/lea... for what sealing is, I have to do this every couple of years on my driveway. But it's a pain so I call in the pros. They come out and pressure wash the driveway first, then let it dry for a day or two and apply a sealer which is very similar to a clear paint. It's similar to what I've applied before to my fence (or to decks, etc) except that it's designed especially for concrete.
I'm not sure what the chemical difference is, though. They simply come out and spray the sealer on the driveway and don't let me drive on it for three or four days.It simply protects the driveway from water which can penetrate the concrete and erode it over time. That's all there is to it.
So again, if you think the instructions at the site above are easy enough, you might want to try it yourself. But I'd call in a pro if you have any doubts. Good luck!

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
