Conservatives: is every Republican in congress who voted for Bush's original TARP a "communist/socialist"?

Socialism an economic system in which the government owns the means of production and distribution of goods. That in and of itself should be enough to frighten anyone. You want to know why socialism is scary?

Remember the 2008 recession? The Great Depression? The VA scandal?

What about the fact that we are $18 trillion in debt (not counting unfunded liabilities) with no way to dig ourselves out? We can't afford the minimum level of socialism that we have today. What makes you think we can afford any more?

Isn't our dysfunctional Congress evidence enough that the government is not fit to manage anything but the most basic functions? What about the "immigration crisis"? The student loan crisis?

The healthcare crisis? Everything the government touches either turns to crap or becomes outrageously expensive. Consider this.

Lobbyists representing the major New York cab companies bribed legislators to pass a law requiring every cab to have a $1 million safety medallion mounted on the cab. That was a blatant ploy to create a cartel. And you want to hand over private industry to those guys?

Do you think they really care if you have a job or if the economy goes belly up? They get a salary for life. And the reason socialism works to some extend in a few European countries is because those countries have small populations with small economies, a 60% income tax, and a heavy influx of foreign cash.

Their economic well being is not because of socialism, it is in spite of socialism. If they weren't surrounded by capitalism, they would collapse under their own weight. Want to see what happens when socialism hits a larger economy?

Look at Greece or Spain. Denmark: GDP = $341 million, population = 5.6 million Finland: GDP = $271 million, population = 5.4 million Netherlands: GDP = $866 million, population = 16.8 million United States: GDP = $17,400 million, population = 318 million.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
